Research Interests

My research interests focus on large-scale, heterogeneous computer systems and on their effective use to run multi-scale modeling applications in biomedical sciences and bioinformatics. My research topics include:
  • Design, implementation, and evaluation of dynamically adaptive methods for multi-scale modeling simulations in biomedical sciences and bioinformatics.
  • Design, implementation, and evaluation of robust, highly available and reliable computational environment based on heterogeneous computing resources connected to the Internet and owned by volunteers.
  • Design, implementation, and evaluation of user-friendly tools to access data- and compute-intensive distributed environments.
