Francisco Soto Mas is an Associate Professor of Health Education in the Department of Teacher Education, University of Texas at El Paso. He has a medical degree from the University of Granada, Spain, a PhD in Health Promotion from the University of New Mexico, and a Master's in Public Health fron the Universiy of Arizona. Francisco Soto Mas has more than 20 years of professional experience in medicine and public health as a practitioner, researcher and academician. His areas of expertise include chronic disease prevention and control, program planning and evaluation, health behavior theory, Latino health issues, bioterrorism, tobacco use prevention and control, and health communication and health literacy.
