CS 3370 - Computer Graphics
In this course, the student will be introduced to principles of computer graphics.
The student will learn
2-D and 3-D mathematical models, including coordinate systems, transformations, projections and display pipeline,
hidden surface removal algorithms including Z-buffer, ray casting and ray tracing,
illumination models including lights and various reflection models,
modeling, including curves, surfaces, hierarchical representation of objects,
Emphasis is on implementation of these concepts using the Open GL graphics library.
"Computer Graphics with OpenGL'', by Hearn and Baker, Prentice Hall, 2004.
In roughly this order, we will cover chapters 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
Exams and Grades:
will be two tests and a final exam. The remainder of the grade will be
based on programming assignments. The following percentages will be
used in formulating the final grade:
Programming assignments 40%
